When you think of Disney World, your first thought is probably of Cinderella Castle, Main Street, U.S.A., and Magic Kingdom.

We get it. Magic Kingdom is an ICONIC part of Disney World (not to mention the first park at the resort) and many of us have special memories of walking down Main Street for the first time and seeing the castle (and even after all this time, we still tear up when we see it). When you plan a Disney World trip, though, how many days do you intend to spend in Magic Kingdom? We might argue that for some folks, you’ll want to spend two days there instead of one.
So here’s who we think might want to consider two days in Magic Kingdom during their Disney World trip over one.
First-Timers
Okay, Magic Kingdom is ICONIC Disney World, but it’s also the park with the most to see and do. Magic Kingdom has more rides than Disney World’s other three parks PLUS there’s a ton of entertainment you’ll want to check out like cavalcades, parades, nighttime fireworks, and more.

There is no WAY to possibly do it all in Magic Kingdom in one day, and honestly, two days might still mean you’re barely scratching the surface. But if you’re visiting Disney World for the first time, you’ll want to spend as much time there as possible.
Those who don’t want to pay for Lightning Lane Multi Pass
We get it — not everyone wants to pay EXTRA for the privilege to use the shorter Lightning Lanes for rides in Magic Kingdom, so the general thinking might be to spend two days in the park to manage as many rides as possible over just one.

Here’s the thing, though: depending on how many people you have in your group, it still might be cheaper just to buy Lightning Lane Multi Pass than pay for an additional park ticket day. Of course, it’s up to you.
Those who don’t care for thrill rides
If you’re not into thrill rides, Disney World’s other theme parks might not be for you. However, Magic Kingdom has a ton of rides that should please just about anyone. There are several boat rides, loads of dark rides, and plenty of rides for the kiddos.

If that’s more your speed, Magic Kingdom might just be your park of choice, and you’ll find plenty of things to ride with two days.
Those staying at a Monorail hotel
If you’re staying somewhere near Magic Kingdom that’s on Disney World’s Monorail route, Magic Kingdom might be somewhere you want to visit more than once because it’s so easy to get there.

Also, because you’re so close, you can also take those two days in Magic Kingdom to allow yourself plenty of times for breaks to go back to the hotel to relax as you’ll be so close.
Groups with little ones
This might go back to the thrill rides argument we previously made, but if you have little ones, there is probably a lot more to do for those kiddos at Magic Kingdom than in the other three parks. Loads of rides in Magic Kingdom are good for all ages plus kids will enjoy the entertainment like the cavalcades, parades, and fireworks.

Magic Kingdom is a park for all ages, but if you’ve got kids, you might want to spend even more time there so they can really get that Disney World experience.
So if you can swing it, you might want to plan your Disney World vacation a little differently and add an extra day at Magic Kingdom.
