The One EPCOT Souvenir You Absolutely NEED to Get from the United Kingdom Pavilion

We’ll admit that when we were kids, we kinda thought EPCOT was boring — but hold up! We don’t think that way now that we’re adults.

There are just some things in EPCOT you can’t appreciate until you’ve lived a little, and that includes making our way around World Showcase and getting to experience food and culture from different countries without ever needing a passport. There’s one unique experience and souvenir, though, that you should ABSOLUTELY make time for when you visit the U.K. Pavilion.

If you visit the U.K. Pavilion, you need to head straight to Crown & Crest. There, you can actually get your family crest. Just walking into the shop is a lot of fun because there are plenty of examples of family crests, including some for characters from Bridgerton and even Marvel characters.

You’ll need to talk to a Cast Member and first discover the history of your family name. You’ll see a gigantic book with a massive number of names in it. Just tell the Cast Member your last name, and you can preview your family’s crest/coat of arms and history.

A family name history is just $25, and you’ll learn all about what your family name means and what it stands for. You’re sure to learn something about your family name that you never knew! You can also get a small coat of arms for $40 and a large coat of arms for $50. A small duo is $65, and a small trio is $75.

This is one of the most unique souvenirs in Disney World and so very few people seem to know about it. Granted, you can’t take photos or record anything you’re told about your family name and history, but even if you don’t purchase a coat of arms, you’re still gaining the knowledge you did not know before.

So, the next time you find yourself in the U.K. Pavilion, be sure to stop by and see if you can learn more about your name. The results could surprise you.
