An extremely important holiday is coming up soon.
No, not Halloween — though that might be the most important of them all — not any “Hallmark” holiday, really. Instead, we’re getting ready to celebrate a pop culture holiday — like Rex Manning Day or the rebirth of Pumpkin Spice Lattes every year. And, EPCOT is celebrating this important holiday in the BEST possible way.
September 21st is going to be a HUGE day at EPCOT! Why, you ask? Because Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind will be playing one song and one song only: “September” by Earth, Wind, & Fire ALL DAY LONG!
This ride normally cycles through a few different iconic songs featured in the Guardians of the Galaxy films including “September,” but since this song in particular references “the 21st night of September,” the ride will be playing it for every single ride that day.
We love that Disney is doing this to celebrate an unofficial holiday, but it had us wondering what YOUR favorite song to get on Cosmic Rewind was, so we headed over to Facebook to ask!
Unsurprisingly, quite a few folks said that “September” was their favorite song to get — with some even commenting that it had been rather elusive for them. “I Ran” by Flock of Seagulls was another popular response we got.
A few of our readers said that “Everybody Wants To Rule the World” by Tears for Fears was their top choice, though in our experience it gives you a bit of a different vibe than the rest of the song choices. Of course, there was plenty of support for both “One Way or Another” by Blondie and “Disco Inferno” by The Trammps as well — along with “Conga” by the iconic Gloria Estefan.
Essentially, our readers have excellent taste in music and you really can’t go wrong with any of the songs on Cosmic Rewind. But, if you want to guarantee you’ll hear “September” on your next ride, head to EPCOT on Saturday!

We just left Epcot and Guardians. It was the song we were missing for this trip to close out getting all six songs. We are season pass holders so we would start our day at Epcot and then hope over to Magic or Hollywood after Guardians.
It will cost us a few hours getting home but it was worth it. I would have tried for it even if they weren’t playing September all day. But it was great knowing we were guaranteed it. And while we were exiting we heard the next train also finishing September. I thought it was great. And guaranteed not to be “Conga’d”.

The 21st of September is my wedding anniversary and this song is part of the reason for that! I hope this becomes an annual tradition so we can experience it some time <3
