A NEW Show Is Coming to the Disney Destiny Cruise Ship!

The amount of news announced at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event is staggering!

We’ve loved hearing about what Disney has coming to the screen in the coming years as well as what’s coming to the theme parks, but we can’t forget about the seven seas! Disney has also announced fun new information about their Disney Destiny cruise ship, and we’re recapping it all for you here so you don’t have to go digging!

Before the event this weekend, we knew that the Disney Destiny is set to sail in 2025 and is not only themed around heroes and villains, but passengers need to choose a side once on board! We also know we’ll see some of the heroes and villains from Hercules, The Lion King, and 101 Dalmations.

To be more specific, Disney has said the ship is “inspired by the dynamic duality of every great Disney story when developing this new ship, where opposing forces of light and dark drive characters to rise to their purpose.” Every story needs conflict!

Well, on August 10th during the Entertainment Showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Disney shared NEW entertainment coming to the Disney Destiny! Early in August, lots of entertainment options were teased, but a brand-new show was officially announced at D23. “Disney Hercules” will be the signature production aboard the Disney Destiny!

Disney Hercules is coming to the Disney Destiny!

The show will feature music and characters from the favorite classic movie Hercules! We can’t wait to see it! TONS of new details were announced for the new cruise ship, and at D23, Disney announced 4 NEW cruise ships coming to the fleet. It’s an exciting time for Disney Cruise Line.
