Stop what you’re doing! We’ve got some BIG Magic Kingdom news to share, and Disney’s latest announcement might surprise you. Out of all four Disney World parks, Magic Kingdom is the oldest (and the most iconic). There are a TON of rides here — and several date back to opening day in 1971. This park has got HISTORY, people.
Luckily, Disney World is not stuck in the past. In fact, all kinds of new things have been announced, like a new land in Hollywood Studios, a DinoLand U.S.A. makeover, and a NEW Test Track attraction! But today, we’re here to share some MAJOR news about the future of Magic Kingdom. Let’s go!
During the Disney Experiences showcase of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event, Josh D’Amaro announced that a VILLAINS LAND is coming to Magic Kingdom!
This new land will be home to the villains we “know and loathe” from fan-favorite Walt Disney Studios animated films. Disney says, “The evil ambition of all these Villains means that the possibilities are endless for the stories that can be told — and visitors to the dark and thorny land should be prepared for whatever chaos might come their way.”
The space will be home to two major attractions, dining options, and shopping offerings on an “incredibly twisted grand scale.” Preparation is already underway for this new land at Magic Kingdom.
