NEWS: Disney Is DOUBLING the Size of Its Avengers Campus, Adding TWO New Rides

Whew — the news keeps coming out of D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event and we’re keeping up with it ALL so you stay in the know!

We’ve gotten updates about what’s coming to Disney Cruise Line, new Disney media on the way, but also plenty of updates on what’s coming to the Disney parks. And we just got HUGE news about an update coming to Avengers Campus at Disneyland Resort!

Avengers Campus in Disney California Adventure is home to two popular rides: Web Slingers: A Spider-Man Adventure and Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission BREAKOUT! You’ll also be able to see some of your favorite Avengers campus wandering around the land, or around Avengers Headquarters.

We’ve heard about changes happening in this land recently, especially with the last performance of “Dr. Strange: Mysteries of Mystic Arts” being on June 30th, so this announcement doesn’t come as a complete surprise. Well, get ready, because the Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure will be doubling in size and introducing two brand-new attractions. The construction on this expansion is set to begin next year.

The first new attraction will be called Avengers Infinity Defense. In this attraction, “technology that allows the Avengers to jump between worlds has gone missing, and King Thanos is using it to wreak havoc everywhere.”

You will be joining the mission and traveling to locations such as Asgard, Wakanda, and New York City during this attraction. You may even come face-to-face with King Thanos himself.

We got a look at a bunch of concept art for this new attraction, and we are definitely excited for this new experience. There is concept art that features Ant Man towering over riders.

As well as The Hulk seemingly involved in an intense battle. In this new attraction we will be traveling all over and it looks like we will be right in the center of all the action.

In addition to Avengers Infinity Defense, there will be another new attraction coming to Avengers Campus called Stark Flight Lab. This attraction will make you feel like a Super Hero.

In Stark Flight Lab, you will be seated in two-person pods and be deployed to a test station. You will be grabbed by a robot arm and then will be whirled around in a simulated flight. You may even come across Mr. Stark himself while you experience this attraction.

Disney announced during D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event that construction will begin on this expansion of Avengers Campus next year. Disney has not yet announced when they expect the construction to be finished though.

The Avengers Campus in Disneyland isn’t the only one around the Disney parks though! Yes, you can experience Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind in EPCOT in Disney World, but you can experience an entire other Avengers Campus in Disneyland Paris! We’ll keep an eye out to see if these changes will come to Paris too, so stay tuned to AllEars!
