A Popular EPCOT Shortcut REOPENED, and Our Feet Have Never Been More Thankful

We have BIG news from WALLCOT– ahem, we mean EPCOT!

We’ve been keeping an eye on the construction updates over at EPCOT since the big transformation project began. Since then, we’ve seen new additions — like Journey of Water, Inspired by Moana, we’ve seen some old favorites stay exactly the same (please, NEVER change Living with the Land), and we’ve seen massive amounts of construction walls span the entire park. In December 2023, we saw tons of those walls come down with the opening of World Celebration Gardens — and then we saw them pop right back up again elsewhere. Well, we have BIG news, y’all… more construction walls are officially DOWN!

In January 2024, EPCOT put up construction walls to block off the old pathway guests used to get from the front of the park to World Nature. We knew that construction at the front of the park wasn’t quite done yet — but the news still made us a little sad inside.

Luckily, the walls weren’t there for long! We decided to head over to EPCOT recently and noticed that the construction walls were down!

Now we have a pretty clear sightline across World Celebration Gardens. What once was a sea of construction walls is now wide, open spaces — please excuse us as we go have our Sound of Music moment.

We know that all of the construction at EPCOT isn’t done yet — they’re still working on CommuniCore Hall as we speak, but we’re seeing them make good progress on that regularly, and we can’t wait to see how it turns out!
