When you visit Disney World, do you buy Genie+? If you’re unfamiliar, Genie+ is Disney’s (relatively new) skip-the-line service. Disney Genie+ replaced the formerly free FastPass+ service.

As you may know, the price of Genie+ can fluctuate depending on how much demand Disney thinks there will be on any given day. That price also depends on which park you buy Genie+ for. Well, we’ve got some bad news if you’re headed to Disney World this week. The price of Genie+ hit a new high for the month of February.
Genie+ is a paid service that allows Disney World visitors to skip the standby lines at attractions and access the shorter Lightning Lanes. It can be a real timesaver when you visit Disney World because you’ll spend less time standing in lines for rides.

However, if you’re considering purchasing Genie+ on February 9th, the price to use Genie+ for Magic Kingdom and multiple parks is $29 per person. That’s the highest price we’ve seen since January 2nd. Prices for the other parks are as follows: $21 per person for EPCOT, $26 per person for Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and $18 per person for Disney’s Animal Kingdom.

Note that not all rides are included as part of Genie+. Some of Disney World’s more popular rides have their own Individual Lightning Lane selection, which will cost you an additional amount — note that you do NOT need to have purchased Genie+ to pay for an Individual Lightning Lane selection.

Ultimately, you’ll need to decide if it’s worth it for you and your group to pay for Genie+. We recommend looking at ride wait times in each park first and considering how many attractions you hope to ride before purchasing Genie+.

For example, you may decide that Genie+ isn’t worth it in Animal Kingdom and instead just pay for the Individual Lightning Lane for Flight of Passage. You’ve got options — even when the prices are HIGH.
