Listen up y’all, we love Disney World, but it can be A LOT to take in.

There’s so much to experience in the parks, and so much of it you have to plan for ahead. We here at AllEars try our best to keep you updated on all the latest Disney news, tips, and tricks so you’ll be ready for your vacation, but that’s a lot of reading to do. While we do think it’s very important to be well informed before your trip, if there’s one tip we implore you to listen to, it’s this one.
We know you’re not going to be super happy about this tip because it’s going to go against everything you think for your vacation. Trust us though, it’s of utmost importance: You Need To Take Breaks.

Now wait a minute, we know you may be balking at us right now. We just got done saying how much there is to do in Disney World, how can you take breaks?

We get it, it’s a hard balance, but the truth is that you will burn out fast in Disney if you don’t take breaks. And if you burn out fast, you won’t be enjoying your vacation.

As much as you may think that you won’t burn out because hey, it’s Disney World, your body WILL get tired, and so will your brain from all the stimulation! Not to mention, if you don’t give yourself adequate time to rest after park days, you could run down your immune system and find yourself getting sick. And no one wants to be sick in Disney.

So how can you take breaks in the park while still making sure you’re accomplishing everything you want? Make sure you create a “want-to-do” list that you and your travel party have written down so you can prioritize what to do in the parks.

Additionally, taking breaks doesn’t mean that you have to go all the way back to your hotel room — you can find an air-conditioned spot in the park (like Walt Disney Presents in Hollywood Studios or Hall of Presidents in Magic Kingdom, just to name two) to hang out for a little bit and recoup.

We also suggest taking a resort day, or a break in between your busy days in the parks to allow yourself to sleep in, relax at the pool, or whatever a chill day looks like for you. If you want to still immerse yourself in Disney, you can walk around Disney Springs and see what the stores have to offer.

As we said, we know this will be hard to remember and take into account for your vacation, because there’s such little time and you want to experience everything, but TRUST US when we say it’s essential. We’ve made this mistake many times ourselves, so it also serves as a reminder to all of us!

What’s the #1 tip you would give to your friends or family heading to Disney World? Tell us in the comments!
I agree. I try not to “huff” it in the am and generally do a sit down lunch and dinner and try to “rest”. When I was younger I’d go back to the hotel in the afternoon too.
