Something NEW Is Coming to Disney Cruise Line's Private Island

Have you ever been on a Disney Cruise?

If you’ve set sail on Disney Cruise Line on a voyage to the Bahamas, you have likely visited Disney’s private island Castaway Cay. Castaway Cay is Disney’s own private paradise, where cruisers can spend some time on the beach, indulge in some ocean activities, and more. Well, something new is coming to the island!

Disney Cruise Line is currently celebrating its 25th Anniversary with Silver Anniversary at Sea, which is bringing some special merchandise, entertainment, food, and drinks to Disney Cruise Line ships. However, it’s also bringing something else: a special honor for some cruisers who’ve set sail with the cruise line.

Disney wants to honor the numerous families who have made memories on Castaway Cay as Castaway Club members. Families who have set sail with Disney Cruise Line 50 or more times will get to see themselves added to a commemorative display that’s being added to the private island.

Disney writes, “this will recognize the legacy and heart of the Castaway Club, our members.”

The display will be near the island post office — just look for a colorful fence that will feature the names of those families. Disney also shared concept art of what the display will look like.

Castaway Club members who are eligible to be on the display will even get a chance to choose from a selection of fun icons to accompany their family’s name on the display:

The display will be up sometime this fall, so if you have a cruise scheduled for then, be sure to keep an eye out for it.

Castaway Cay is one of two private islands owned by Disney Cruise Line — Disney previously revealed a NEW private island in the Bahamas that cruisers will also soon have access to, Lighthouse Point. Disney also has plans to drop some new details about the newest ship in its fleet, the Disney Treasure.
