BREAKING: Pixar Place Has Soft-Opened in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

Are you looking stylish today? Make sure you’re not wearing a cape, because style icon Edna Mode and MORE of our favorite Pixar pals are back in their old home at Disney’s Hollywood Studios! Say goodbye to that dull, gray wall — Edna deserves better.

During a recent trip to Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we noticed Disney hosting a soft opening in a quiet corner of the park. Let’s take a look!

Several years ago, Pixar Place was home to quite a few character meet-and-greets. Guests could meet characters from Toy Story (before Toy Story Land was built) and The Incredibles. It was a lively little spot!

More recently, though, the area has been used for seating — we haven’t experienced a meet-and-greet or grabbed a treat here in a long time. Finally, in April, Disney announced that a reimagined Pixar Place would reopen on May 14th. Say hello to the newly reimagined Pixar Place!

We were so excited to see the new and returning meet-and-greet spaces that we checked them out a little early. One day ahead of the grand opening, Pixar Place had a little soft opening. How exciting!

We found brand-new decorations and a fun photo-op! Plus, in true Imagineering fashion, there’s even a Disney Easter Egg. We spotted both the year that Pixar was founded and the famous A113 CalArts room number.

The Edna Mode Experience officially reopened! We had to stop by and talk about the latest fashion.

Guests can meet Mr. Incredible and Mrs. Incredible and Frozone in the area, too.

Finally, we had to give our old pal Sulley from Monsters, Inc. a nice, big hug. He’s so soft and fuzzy!

Oh, and did we mention that Pixar Place was the old home of the beloved Jack-Jack’s Cookie Num Nums?  Good news: they’re back in Pixar Place! We found those warm, fresh cookies back at the Neighborhood Bakery where they belong. Since this was a soft opening, we didn’t get a peek at the full menu. Stay tuned for an update on the food front!
