HUGE Update Made to Cinderella Castle in Disney World

We’ve been watching throughout the last few days as all signs of the 50th Anniversary disappear from Disney World.

Lots of menus are already changing but some of the aspects of the 50th Anniversary are also sticking around. We knew this was coming, but now one of the largest decorations is officially gone from Magic Kingdom.

That’s right — Disney started removing the 50th Anniversary decor from Cinderella Castle overnight. And the first thing to go? The giant 50th medallion!

With the medallion taken away, we can see the clock face for the first time in more than 18 months! This comes just in time for the return of Happily Ever After fireworks this evening.

At this time, many of the other decorations remain on the castle. The giant gemstones and golden ribbons are still adorning the turrets. We’ll keep checking to see when everything is removed.
