The Disney parks are a popular destination for people across the world, and a celebrity visit from time to time isn’t unusual.

From former reality TV stars to famous football players, you never know who you might run into!

The latest well-known figure to take a trip to Disney World is someone we’re not as surprised to see. This week, current (and former!) Disney CEO Bob Iger paid a visit to the resort and today he shared a picture of himself with some Magic Kingdom cast members!

Iger shared some thoughts regarding his trip, stating: “Had a great visit to @WaltDisneyWorld this week and I’m always so inspired by our spectacular cast members, who bring such talent and dedication to everything they do. Thank you!”

This is Iger’s first appearance in Disney World since returning to his position following the CEO shakeup in November 2022. If you happened to miss that entire situation, his successor Bob Chapek stepped down and Iger returned following their initial handover in 2020.

When he signed back on last November his contract was only for two years, and Disney’s newest Chairman of the Board has been tasked with finding a replacement. For the time being, Iger has been working on a variety of projects, but we’re glad he was able to take some time to visit the parks!

  1. Good luck to him. I hope he can pull it off. He has to juggle keeping smiles on the cast members’ faces, trying to address the guests frustrations, and keeping the shareholders happy. One piece of advice I would give him is this: Shareholders care about one thing: money. They don’t care how you make a profit just as long as you do. The other two groups are more concerned with intangibles: how they are being treated, if anyone is listening to their concerns, and the feeling they are only profit’s sacrificial lambs. If he wants to see what could happen, take a long hard look at hospitals. They ignored their employees concerns, let their customers run roghshod over those employees, and what they got for their efforts was lots of early retirements, strikes at unionized hospitals, workers walking out the door, long waits for customers, and care suffering as a result. The hospitals continue to refuse to accept any responsibility for this, blaming it all on the need to train more nurses. The real question for Iger is how much of the Disney culture are you willing to sacrifice to please the shareholders?
