Would YOU Wait Multiple Hours to Ride Disney World's Most Popular Attraction?

It’s been a BUSY holiday season in Disney World.

From large crowds and congested areas of the parks to high wait times and more, we’ve been keeping track of it all to help you prepare. We had hoped wait times might go down after New Year’s Day, but with many folks still off for the holiday, it looks like that isn’t the case. In fact, one Hollywood Studios ride had a FOUR HOUR wait time at one point this morning!

Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance is the most popular ride at Disney’s Hollywood Studios — and arguably all of Disney World. The innovative and immersive attraction transports guests to new worlds in an exciting new way — so it’s no wonder it often boasts the longest wait times in the park.

Last week, we saw Rise of the Resistance garner a FOUR HOUR long wait time, and we saw that happen again briefly this morning. But then, the wait time adjusted to 205 minutes and continued to hover right around that time.

Keep in mind, Disney World wait times can fluctuate for a number of reasons and just because a ride shows one wait time listed at one point, doesn’t mean that’s how it will stay.

We often see wait times decrease during mealtimes like lunch and dinner, or special event times like during parades and fireworks. If you don’t mind missing out on entertainment, you can often walk right onto some popular attractions.

Of course, you can also purchase Disney Genie+ on the date of your visit to skip the standby line at popular attractions. Some attractions like Rise of the Resistance are pay-per-ride, meaning you’ll have to buy an Individual Lightning Lane to ride.
