Where You Can Get A One-of-a-Kind Pair of Halloween Ears in Disney World!

The Halloween season is HERE!

Halloween has already arrived at the Ticket and Transportation Center!

Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party is taking place, Halloween Happy Meals returned to McDonald’s, and there are lots of Halloween goodies to buy! But if you want to take the spooky season to the next level, we found the perfect unique souvenir to celebrate the occasion.

Did you know you can get customized Minnie ears in Disney World? Well, you can, and you might be able to get something even better — customized Mickey’s Not-So-Scary Halloween Party ears!

This particular pair was made with a standard leather-like Minnie ear headband. On one side, a Cast Membercustomized these ears to say “Mickey’s Not-So-Scary.”

The other side finishes the statement with “Halloween Party 2022” complete with some spooky spiderwebs.

So where can you grab these customizable ears? They’re at Ye Olde Christmas Tree Shoppe in Magic Kingdom! How fun are these? You can customize just about anything you want on the ears, but we’re glad we bumped into a Cast Member creating these spooky ears. It only costs a few dollars with the exact cost depending on what you want to add to your ears.

BUT BE WARNED! Getting the solid back Mickey headband that was used above for this customized look might be harder than you think. We used to see these ears pretty generally available in the parks. But as of mid-October 2022, we noticed that the ears were not as available as before. We spoke to a Cast Member at Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe who confirmed that there was a shortage of this particular headband at that shop.

Though they had been coming to the park regularly, more recent merchandise shipments did not feature this particular pair. It had been that way for a few weeks at the time we spoke to the Cast Member. They noted that guests are still coming into the shop with them, so they may be available at other spots in the parks (just not within Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe) but you may have to dig around a little to spot them!

If you want to come prepared and not leave it to chance, you can actually buy some of the plain Mickey ears online for $29.99!

And remember that while these were the ears used for the custom look above (and provide a great surface for customization), you can get other ears customized if they have the right surface texture/space for the customization. For example, at the time we spoke to the Cast Member, we did see that there were ear hats available for customization in Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe.
