You never know what your day in Disney World might bring and from showtime updates to unexpected closures of attractions, we encounter changes to offerings and entertainment pretty often.
And, if you’re headed to Magic Kingdom today, you might not be able to catch the Festival of Fantasy Parade — here’s why!
Each day, Disney’s Festival of Fantasy Parade takes place at 12PM and 3PM for guests in Magic Kingdom. But, today when we opened up the My Disney Experience app, we noticed that there were NO times listed.
Shortly after, a notification appeared on the app from Magic Kingdom Park Vice President, Melissa Valiquette, sharing that the 12PM performance of the Festival of Fantasy Parade was canceled, and the 3PM performance may also be canceled. We spoke with a Cast Member who shared that the cancellation was due to technical difficulties with the floats.
UPDATE: Disney has announced that the 3PM performance of the Festival of Fantasy Parade will take place today in Magic Kingdom.
Instead, those in Magic Kingdom can view a special edition of the Disney Adventure Friends Cavalcade along the parade route during the normal parade times. This is Disney’s newest cavalcade featuring nearly 30 characters from Disney and Pixar, including Nick and Judy from “Zootopia,” Baloo and King Louie from “The Jungle Book,” Merida, Moana, The Incredibles, and more.
Of course, we’ll continue to update you with the latest on this situation, so stay tuned to AllEars!
