Disney KiteTails debuted in Disney’s Animal Kingdom last October, and we’ve been catching this daytime kite show ever since.
Disney recently announced plans to change how guests can watch KiteTails, opting for more frequent and shorter showtimes. Disney did not share when to expect this big change, but a new development may give us a hint.
Disney KiteTails is currently a 10-minute long performance at the Discovery River Theater in Animal Kingdom, with up to 30-foot-long kites themed to The Jungle Book or The Lion King. The upcoming change to the show will allow guests to catch the kites from around the Discovery River Lagoon, but Disney has not yet explained what this will look like.
Today we noticed that as of May 27th, Disney KiteTails is no longer showing any times on Disney’s website. Could this mean the new version of the show will debut at that time? We’ll have to wait and see, but it certainly would track for the change to be made.
