BREAKING: NEW Villas Announced for Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort

We’ve seen some major hotel changes in Disney World in the past year!

Moana-themed rooms at the Polynesian

First, Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort got new Moana-themed rooms, then they updated the rooms at Disney’s Contemporary Resort to get an Incredibles theme. Currently, a transformation is underway at the Disney Vacation Club rooms at the Grand Floridian, and the BoardWalk Inn is getting updated soon as well. But that’s not all!

Disney just announced that the Polynesian Village Resort at Walt Disney World will be getting a major addition — projected to be finished in late 2024. This expansion of the Disney Vacation Club will offer new rooms, new recreation options, and new dining locations.

The new building will be situated on the shores of the Seven Seas Lagoon, offering excellent views of Magic Kingdom. Disney will share more details on the project at a later date.

  1. This hurts my soul a little–our wedding reception was at Luau Cove and I expect it will be destroyed to build these new DVC rooms.

  2. We just bought a small resale at the Poly. I hope they include some one bedroom as that has been a big gap there. One thing we are afraid of is our family getting to big to stay in a studio and we don’t have enough points for a bungalow so would have to sell. An in between option would be great.
