PHOTOS: The Guardians of the Galaxy Coaster Got a BIG Update in Disney World

Disney is all about progress, and today we got to see some progress happening right in front of us! As part of Disney World’s EPCOT transformation, a new attraction is set to open sometime this summer called Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind.

Spaceship Earth

We’ve been keeping our eyes out for construction updates, so when Imagineer Zach Riddley shared an exciting update on Instagram, we knew we had to see it for ourselves!

Over by the entrance to the new attraction, we saw some construction activity that caught our eyes!

We NEED to get a closer look!

Okay, so what are we looking at here? Well, according to Zach Riddley’s Instagram caption, Imagineers are installing a “Nova Corps Starblaster ship” that will sit outside the front entrance of Cosmic Rewind.

This is so exciting!

You can watch the installation below!

This is the first piece of the ship we’ve seen make its way to EPCOT, but when completed, the ship will be a whopping 51-feet tall!

Who wants to take a ride in this thing?

As more and more details are added to the exterior of Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind, we can really start to see how Disney’s vision will come together. We’re so excited to take a ride on the new roller coaster — summer can’t come soon enough!

This has us SO excited for the new ride!

We will continue to keep our eyes out for more updates, so stay tuned for more! There’s a lot more spaceship to be built, after all!
