Happy New Year, AllEars friends! We’re still busy celebrating Disney World’s 50th Anniversary, and there is so much to look forward to!
We’re still seeing new 50th anniversary merchandise popping up in shops all over the resort (and online), and although some 50th anniversary foods are going away, we now know about some new treats that are coming!
Meet the 50th Anniversary Cinnamon Roll that’s coming soon to Main Street Bakery in Magic Kingdom! This is one of Disney’s yummy Mickey-shaped cinnamon rolls with the addition of a 50th anniversary chocolate coin on top.
But more treats are about to be announced soon. Disney has taken to its social media account to ask guests what they would like to see next — savory or sweet.
Voters picked savory, because we got a first look at the Slue Foot Sue Fish Sandwich! This is named after the character from the 1948 film Melody Time.
Disney then revealed that the next snack would be from either Pinocchio Village Haus or Cheshire Cafe depending on how fans vote!
Voters chose Cheshire Cafe! The Always Tea Time Slush will debut on January 10th.
Disney then asked for votes for the reveal of the next sweet treat! Are you team cake or team orange?
It looks like team cake won the popular vote! This adorable Donald Duck Dome Cake arrives at Gaston’s Tavern on January 10th.
The choice then came down to sweet vs. savory. What are you hungry for?
Savory pulled ahead by just a few votes and we finally got to see what’s coming to Pinocchio Village Haus on January 10th — the Croque Monsieur Flatbread!
What’s up next? Well, it’s a choice between pineapple or a moon cake (which is a traditional Chinese pastry).
It was a close race, but pineapple won! Get ready for the new Crooning Flowers Float to arrive at Aloha Isle in Adventureland on January 10th!
With only three treats left to see, the next reveal involved either cookies or oranges!
The race must have been close because we got treat reveals for BOTH categories next. In the orange category, Disney World revealed a Cranberry and Orange Tart that will be available at Pinocchio Village Haus…
…and the Cheers to 50 Years Sundae. Now, this sundae isn’t new, but Disney revealed that the massive snack will be getting an update with a new look and new flavors, including cookies. It will be available at Plaza Restaurant.
And, then it was time for the final reveal! The LAST new 50th Anniversary treat coming to Disney World on January 10th is the Chilling Chamber Push Pop! This Haunted Mansion-themed dessert can be found at Sleepy Hollow Refreshments.
So, there are now 9 (!!) brand new eats and treats to try in Magic Kingdom!
