2 Continuing Closures (And 3 New Ones!) in Disney World Next Week

Disney World tends to plan quite a few refurbishments for the winter months after the holiday crowds roll out of the parks, and this year is no different!

Magic Kingdom

So, while you won’t have to worry about battling long lines, you might stumble into a few more closures than you might expect if you’re visiting in the next few weeks. And, to help you plan, we’re bringing you a look at everything that will be CLOSED for refurbishment between January 3rd to 9th, 2022!

Magic Kingdom Refurbishments

Walt Disney World Railroad

The Walt Disney World Railroad originally closed in Magic Kingdom over three years ago as construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run began over in Tomorrowland, and the attraction will continue to be unavailable for guests this week.

Construction on the new roller coaster is currently blocking a portion of the track and Disney has not yet announced a timeline for when the attraction will debut. So, it could be a lot longer before guests can hop onboard the train for a loop around the park once again (though, the train has been undergoing some testing recently!).
