Don’t Forget! EPCOT’s Test Track is Reopening in One Week

Get ready to buckle up and pull on the yellow tab because one of our favorite thrill rides is coming back to EPCOT.

We are one week out from Test Track and reopening, and here’s everything you need to know before heading to the park to ride.

Test Track is reopening on July 22nd and is currently having Annual Passholder previews before the attraction officially opens.

When the ride opens, it will not be using the virtual queue system, so you can go straight to the attraction and line up to ride. We’re not exactly sure about the opening day, but keep an eye out for the Single Rider line to be open if you don’t mind splitting up your group.

Test Track is also part of the Lightning Lane Multi Pass as a Tier 1 attraction, so if you’re considering using Lightning Lane, this can be a great attraction choice if you don’t want to deal with waiting quite as long. Keep in mind that it will likely be a popular Lightning Lane choice, so get ready to snag it fast.

Speaking on long lines, expect the worst! If you’re determined to ride on opening day, come prepared with snacks, water, and something to keep you entertained while you wait. We loved the new exhibits in the queues, but depending on how long you’re waiting, you might want something else to entertain yourself.

It’s officially hurricane season, and Florida is feeling the effects of the rain. Test Track closes during significant rain or storms, so your ride might be delayed. Sometimes you’ll be given the chance to stay inside the queue while the storm passes, and other times they’ll make everyone wait somewhere else. Decide how long you’re willing to wait before wanting to bail.

Outside of the weather, the attraction is also newly renovated, so it may still have some issues. We saw a lot of closures during Cast Member previews and would expect some downtime while the attraction gets back to its full capacity.
