There is a lot to look forward to with Disney World’s 50th Anniversary coming up!
From the new golden character statues to the new merchandise, it’s hard for us to decide what. we’re the most pumped about. And last night we got our first glimpse of testing for the upcoming Beacons of Light, projections that will be coming to icons at each of the four parks!
After midnight last night, we got a view of the Beacons of Light testing on EPCOT’s Spaceship Earth from Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort.
The view is from a distance but you can really see how bright the new lights are! They illuminate the whole sky around Spaceship Earth.
The lights also transformed as they ran through testing, sometimes showing a still design and other times, depicting swirling colors and patterns.

It’s going to be impressive! Seeing “the ball” is more exciting to me than even the castle! For some reason, on my first trip, that was the one thing that took my breath away the most. Possibly because the castle was the cake that trip lol…which I also thought was super cool. I never hated on the pink!
