Disney is already planning for Christmas in the parks!

Disney announced today that there will be a new after-hours Christmas event, some changes to the holiday festivities in EPCOT, and now they’ve given some details on the holiday projections that will be returning to Disney World!
Just as we saw last year, holiday projections will be returning to the Disney World parks! In Magic Kingdom, the holiday projections on Cinderella Castle will be returning. The projections transform the Castle into a full-on holiday celebration with red and green towers and snowflakes, similar to what we saw last year.

The holiday projections will alternate with the 50th Anniversary show that takes place on the Cinderella Castle as well. More holiday magic is also coming to Magic Kingdom with the classic Christmas decorations around Main Street, U.S.A.!

In Disney’s Hollywood Studios, the holiday projections will return to the Hollywood Tower Hotel (the Tower of Terror ride) on Sunset Boulevard. The show, called “Sunset Seasons Greetings,” will transform the “Hollywood Holiday Tower Hotel” into a building from Arendelle in Frozen, a gingerbread house full of Muppets, a toy hotel from Toy Story, and a village reminiscent of “Mickey’s Christmas Carol.” Like the Magic Kingdom show, the holiday show will alternate with 50th Anniversary projections.

Over at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, the Tree of Life will receive some holiday projections with the holiday edition of Tree of Life Awakenings happening most nights. This will alternate with 50th anniversary celebrations, with the Tree of Life serving as another Beacon of Magic.

There have been all kinds of updates about Christmas time in the parks, so stay tuned with AllEars for all the information!

Why are they starting so late this year? Was counting in the first weekend in November. Totally bummed.
