A few weeks ago, Disney Cruise Line unveiled some exciting details about their new ship, the Disney Wish! With sailings scheduled to begin next summer, we’re learning more and more about what guests can expect when they step onboard.

In anticipating the new cruise ship, Disney shared more details of several of the features and attractions coming to the ship!
In the video, we get a sneak peek at AquaMouse, the first-of-its-kind water coaster attraction for Disney Cruises!

Laura Cabo, Portfolio Creative Executive at Walt Disney Imagineering, described the coaster as being “at the level of what you would find in our theme parks.” You can check out the full video highlighting some of the features coming to the Disney Wish, including AquaMouse, below!

Guests will board a two-seater ride vehicle and head into a tunnel that transports you to the cartoon world of “Scuba Scramble.” This animated short plays through various portholes that you pass, and along the way, you’ll encounter sea creatures, Disney characters, and more than 60 water effects. These effects are enhanced by a fantastic new score from Emmy-nominated composer Christopher Willis.

Disney notes that “At the height of the show, you’ll blast out of the tunnel and embark on a wild water ride around the upper decks. First, you’ll zip into the forward funnel through an enclosed tube surrounded by dazzling lighting effects, followed by a quick dash through a dark tunnel that opens up to reveal breathtaking views of the ocean.”

For the finale, you’ll fly through a series of speed blasters and complete a loop over the edge of the ship. Finally, you’ll “splash down for a sendoff message from Mickey and Minnie.” What a blast!

We don’t know about you, but this ride sounds pretty amazing to us! We can’t wait to share more details about the upcoming Disney Wish and we’re very excited to sail away on it next summer.
