PHOTOS: Gaston’s Fountain Has Been Drained in Magic Kingdom

It’s construction season over at Walt Disney World!

Cinderella Castle

Magic Kingdom is the home to quite a few projects right now. Just to name a few — the moat around Cinderella Castle has been drained, and Disney put up construction walls around Peter Pan’s Flight. Now, we can somewhat relate — you start one project and that makes you think about something else you should redo and so on, leading to a whole lot of half-started projects. And, like us, Disney isn’t done just yet!

Normally on our nice morning stroll, we like to pass by and say hi to Gaston at his Tavern. Not only is he serving up some delicious Warm Cinnamon Rolls in there (a weird flex for him), but he’s also decorated the little town with the best statues around — and they’re of him (duh!).

Gaston Flexing in the only way he knows how

But, while everyone was waiting in line for Gaston’s Tavern famous snacks, there was less of a grandiose feeling because something happened to all the water! The fountain in the center of the town was being drained and the barrels Gaston is holding had no water pouring out of them.

Is this fountain half full or half empty?

We’re not quite sure what maintenance work they’re doing on the fountain or when it will be back up to normal levels but we will keep you updated!
