There’s been lots of work going on in Magic Kingdom lately!
There’s still scrim on the Cinderella Castle stage, and attraction icons Swiss Family Treehouse and the Mad Tea Party are about to go down for refurbishment. But that’s not the end of construction in the park! While we were in Magic Kingdom today, we spotted something else.
The moat around Cinderella Castle is being drained! You may remember that last March, the moat was drained and wasn’t refilled until August. Well, now Disney’s at it again.
It’s not too obvious yet, but you can see that the water level along the bank is slightly lower than usual. We expect that level to keep dropping.
We also spotted some dams up, stopping the water flow.
We aren’t sure what prompted this work, but we’ll keep an eye on it and keep you posted as we learn more! Clearly, projects around Cinderella Castle are here to stay for a while. Stay tuned to AllEars for more Disney news.
