Disney World has been moving forward with all sorts of projects around the parks from Remy’s Ratatouille Adventure to Space 220

However, there are also other beloved parts of the parks that are getting refurbished with a little extra magic currently.
The Walt Disney World Train Station has been closed to guests since Magic Kingdom reopened. Instead of offering rides to visitors around the park, the train station has recently been used as a spot for characters to welcome everyone to the Magic Kingdom from a distance.

However, now there is more scrimmage around the front of the Walt Disney World Train Station as guests enter the Magic Kingdom.

Since the train station’s closure gives Disney the opportunity to refurbish the attraction, they are most likely conducting a bit of maintenance at this time.

While guests can see the scrim around the front of the train station, it also stretches around the back area where we’ve seen many characters greeting people.

Although we’re not sure when the Walt Disney World Train Station will be opening again, we hope to be able to ride it soon!

As we make our way around the parks, we’ll be sure to give you a look at all the other construction happening in Disney World. And, if you have any questions about how these projects may affect your upcoming vacation, let us know so we can help you find the answers!

I’m fearful we will never see the trains run those tracks again. I look for Disney to maybe permanently park a locomotive near the station and let that be the extent of this beloved but somewhat boring attraction. Just recall how long 20,000 leagues set closed before the official axe was dropped on it. The train requires lots of continuing maintenance and more than a few cast members to safely operate it, so I could see WDW giving it the axe also.
