We’re making today a perfect day for you over in Disney’s Hollywood Studios! After waiting for live entertainment to return back to the parks, we were so excited when Disney World announced that the For the First Time in Forever: A Frozen Sing-Along Celebration would be returning.

And, today might be an even bigger deal than Coronation Day since the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration will be playing its first returning shows in Hollywood Studios!
When guests arrive at the theater, they can find the showtimes listed on the board outside. At this time, the shows are operating in one-hour increments from 10:30AM until 6:30PM with the theater set at 35% capacity.

The queues are structured with distancing markers to make sure that parties are separated from one another.

Once groups get to the waiting area prior to the doors opening to the theater, a Cast Member will ask how many people are in everyone’s parties in order to control the traffic flow.

Parties will then be asked to stand on specific dots in the waiting area (as they all excitedly wait for Elsa and Anna to open up the gates to Arendelle).

The same pre-show video that we’ve seen before is still playing with mini Frozen stories about Anna’s love for chocolate, the history of the trolls, and more! Some screens have captions for any guests that are audio impaired.

As guests get ready to enter the theater, Cast Members ask everyone to keep their masks on at all times throughout the show.

Once people are inside the theater, there are certain rows and seats marked as unavailable to guests. Parties are asked to move all the way down to the last seat available as they enter the rows.

After the show is finished, guests are expected to remain seated until a Cast Member gives each row the signal that they can exit. In case of any questions or concerns, Cast Members are located inside the theater to help direct guests.

The Frozen Sing-Along Celebration has much of the same plot that we’ve seen previously. The Arendelle Historians, Eric and Aria, are SUPER excited to meet Anna. However, when she arrives, Anna tells them that she can’t find Elsa anywhere.

While Anna sets off to find Elsa, the Arendelle Historians decide to tell the story of the two sisters for everyone in the audience.

The story is told through songs like “For the First Time in Forever…”

…”Let It Go…”

…and “In Summer”.

These are interspersed with new and relevant jokes about how Elsa might be distancing herself in the castle and how you can let it go (just not your mask).

After Anna enlists the help of Kristoff in her search, Elsa enters the stage from a formation of rocks and a puff of smoke.

She thanks all of her friends for caring so much about her…

…and welcomes the audience to Arendelle as the cast sings “Let It Go” together one last time!

Of course, the big finish has plenty of snow flurries in the air as Elsa conjures up a real Frozen celebration!

While the theater might have less capacity and there are slight differences to the show, the Frozen Sing-Along Celebration is just as magical as we remember! The next time you’re visiting Disney’s Hollywood Studios, we highly recommend taking a trip to Arendelle to visit Anna, Elsa, and the rest of the gang at the reopened show.

So the performing cast members are not wearing masks? Are these performers some of the ones being tested daily?
This is great news. Getting the shows back open again will increase park capacity and one step closer to normalcy.
