Although it has been all but certain that Disney would host the NBA, it now appears as though their plans are finally locked in and basketball will indeed resume next month!

Adrian Wojnaroski, Senior NBA Insider at ESPN, tweeted an announcement that the plans to resume the 2019-2020 season at Walt Disney World have been finalized by the NBA as well as the Players Association.

Wojnarowski continues on to mention a new “enhanced insurance plan” that would cover players for career-ending injuries caused by the virus or injuries sustained during play.

He also noted that testing begins today for players set to take part in the “bubble league,” which will isolate all players and staff for the duration of the season. Regardless of testing prior to arrival, the NBA and Disney have laid out several measures to keep the players and staff safe.
