The Haunted Mansion in Disneyland will celebrate its 50th anniversary next week, and Disney World is joining in the fun! Special merchandise and a themed cupcake will be available on August 9 in Disney World‘s Magic Kingdom, as well.

In addition to the merchandise highlighted yesterday (see it here), Disney World will be offering the following commemorative merchandise.

In the shop Memento Mori near the entrance to the Haunted Mansion see the new Host-A-Ghost collection. From her Séance Circle, Madame Leota invites all the guests of the Haunted Mansion to become caretakers to one of its “999 Restless Spirits.”

With a simple tap, and a ghostly giggle, Leota, as the head spiritualist, will channel your spirit to materialize for you. You will receive a “death certificate” that validates your role of caretaker for a resident and happy haunt from the Haunted Mansion. Guests can choose from a selection of dearly departed souls, including Constance Hatchaway, Professor Phineas Plump, The Hatbox Ghost, and others.

While in Memento Mori you will also find an ear hat, ornament, mug, magnet, a toy replica of the doom buggy vehicle that glows and has sound features, a Pandora charm set, Alex and Ani bracelet, light up headband. and 50th anniversary apparel.

At Ye Olde Christmas Shoppe in Liberty Square check out the Haunted Mansion-inspired Dooney & Bourke collection, including a tote, cross body bag, and Passholder-exclusive satchel.

In Frontier Trading Post you will find a commemorative “day of” pin, mystery pin collection, and a glow in the dark Madame Leota Funko Pop!

 

As part of the celebration, there will be special Disney PhotoPass Magic Shots featuring Haunted Mansion residents that will pop up in your in-ride photos.

 

 

 

If you have a sweet tooth be sure to visit the Haunted Mansion ice cream cart for the Host-A-Ghost chocolate cupcake made with a dark chocolate truffle filling, crispy pearls, buttercream icing, and milk chocolate decoration.

For guests of this special merchandise event at Liberty Square, all of these items will be available for purchase at 7:45 am. Guests will also have early access to the Haunted Mansion attraction during this time. Guests attending Disney Villains After Hours on August 8 will have access to certain items in advance. The Funko Pop, pins and Dooney & Bourke handbags will all release on the morning of August 9 and will not be available during Disney Villains After Hours.

All special merchandise is available while supplies last and admission to Magic Kingdom is required. The Pandora charm set will be available at Uptown Jewelers on August 8 and 9.
