  1. Good luck trying to get them. My sister and I are going to Disney World next month and they give a free magic band OR they were offering themed bands for just $10.00 for each guest when you book a room/package. Every time I tried to purchase a themed magic band it said the order not be processed or they were having temporary difficulties with the magic band orders. I tried for three days in a row to order themed bands and finally gave up and just ordered the free ones (plain bands)and there were no processing problems when I picked to order the plain bands!

  2. I love ❤️ this option. I would probably choose the Mickey option, my sister would probably choose a Princess and my nephew would choose one of the Star Wars options.

  3. FINALLY!!, Disney offers something that even I feel is worth the money. I’m betting this is a lead up to ALL magic bands costing an extra fee, but until that day, I can appreciate the chance to personalize our magic bands. I hope Disney will take note of what I suspect will be great participation in this offer and start bringing back more of the park and resort “specific” items. Call me a red necked tourist, but we always enjoyed collecting our resort specific drink mugs from each resort we stayed at, along with other little personal touches that are now gone. Getting off topic here, but even the cool gift boxes you used to receive with most purchases were fun to reuse at Christmas, not because it was cheap recycling, but because the boxes always brought back good Disney memories.

  4. I love this option! I think it’s a nice perk to get a fun one at a discount. I see a new Stitch band in my future. 🙂

  5. Good lord. Some people get a little too excited about a cheap plastic bracelet. It’s just the device that WDW uses to take all of your money.

    1. Relax Ken. Usually I agree with you, but it’s part of “the experience.” I personally don’t get excited over the small things either because I am the one paying for it. However, I can see how people would be enthusiastic about this. It probably costs Disney pennies more to “upgrade” the solid bands, but they are still charging $10-15 for the “upgrade.” Well done Disney.

      1. 10/4 Big John. I’ll leave the magic band discussion to the experts.

Besides, I still miss carrying around the old giant hotel key chains.
