I have eaten in this restaurant once before, but it was at least fifteen years ago. My wife has never been before, so we decided to try it this trip. Our ADR was for 3:05, which I figured would be an "off" time-the waiting area was absolutely PACKED when we arrived, about 10 minutes before our ADR time. We were FINALLY seated about 25 minutes AFTER the ADR time. Not sure where Disney dropped the ball on this one, but we were not happy about the extra long wait. The "cars" are not comfortable for people like myself with "mature" body types, and it was so dark that it was difficult to read the menu and to see what we were eating when we received our food. My wife and I both had the chicken pasta, which was good but not outstanding. The portion size was generous. I honestly don't recall what we had for dessert. The old film clips and intermission promos were amusing, especially since we grew up in the era and actually went to drive in movies back in the day. The last time I came to this restaurant, the wait staff roller skated to and from the cars and I was disappointed that they no longer do that. I don't think we will be returning to this restaurant next visit; the menu leans heavily to burgers/sandwiches and I don't like to use Table Service credits on the Dining Plan for Counter Service-type food. If you haven't been, you should experience it at least once.

Enjoyed sitting in a car at the drive in, but the food was not good at all. Cheap, bland burgers, one of my kids got like 5 fries, and my salmon burger was terrible (very fishy). The service was good, though. Would not go back. For the same price we'd rather eat at the 50s Prime Time.
Pros:
Environment, good serviceCons:
Food not good, small portionsReviewed by Mich97 Review Date: 08/30/2013

We always eat here during our vacations. And July was no exception. The atmosphere is unique and I like watching the movie clips (I even remember seeing some of the movies on TV when I was a kid). Burgers are good, but then again we never get anything else here.

Had lunch here on Monday, 8/19. Me and my family enjoyed this restaurant and got a real kick out of the drive-in theming. There was a huge line to get in, most of whom I gathered did not have reservations. Luckily I did and was seated without much of a wait at all. My daughter had ribs, the rest of us had burgers and the food was good. We also had dessert. The apple crumble was delicious, the cake part was still steaming when they brought it out! I would definitely try to do this again because we found it to be a fun experience while eating, only next time I would probably just stick to dessert. A lunch or dinner can get pricey for essentially just comfort food. Staff was very nice and speedy in their service.
Pros:
Fun, enjoyable, yesteryear experienceCons:

Kids (12 & 15) loved this place. We all went for milk shakes which were great. I had ribs which were fine although the beans and coleslaw were just ok. DW had the steak with mash. She opted to keep the cheese butter on the side and was thankful for this as she didn't like the butter but thought the steak was fine plain. Both kids went for the build your own burger and both raved about them. DD went for fruit plate, DW went for fudge sundae and DS went for the cake bar which they all enjoyed. I was too full to eat my dessert. We all agreed this place provided a great evening meal that was something a little bit different. Food was enjoyable but the theming is what makes it so great. We will definitely be coming back.
Pros:
Great theme and novelty valueCons:

I come here to Sci-Fi every time I come to WDW. I love the atmosphere, the lighting, the cute cars, but I am over it. I don't think I will ever be back. We waited, waited, and waited in line to get our reservation. Finally through that line we had to wait for our names to be called, which was not very long. Ordering was not bad, our drinks came out and were refilled on time, but our actual food took forever. We finally got our food and it was not worth the money. I got the Chicken Pasta. I could have done a better job for less than $24! Then, we had to wait for our checks. I just took the kids out (we had a party of 13) because they were done sitting for almost 2 hours. I used to enjoy this place, but like I said, I am over it!

We dined here on July 1st and really enjoyed the food. On the Disney Deluxe plan, you learn to eat and share to get different experiences. Our group chose the spinach dip and onion rings for appetizers and they were wonderful. I had the veggie pie and I have to tell you the garlic mashed potatoes on the top were delicious. DD had a steak and she said it was the best steak she's ever had. One of our party had the sugar free icecream but found the brownie dry. DD had the candy bar chocolate cake with ganache and raved about it. I had a vanilla milkshake and it was divine. Server was great, very attentive. Referred to the third row diners as back street drivers...lol. Very funny. Old movie were good. We would maybe go again...still so many restaurants to try yet. The seats are cramped if you have backpacks and families of four are separated by, well a car seat but it is fun. Only downfall is there is no water drain for the downpour that occurred outside the restaurant and we were all drenched (up to ankles) when leaving.
Pros:
Great Food. Very quietCons:

Went here over SWW Memorial Day. One restaurant we had NEVER tried in over 10 visits to WDW because of the bad reviews.
It was a fun theme. Only complaint is that it was a tad dark and DH couldn't read the menu. Kids would have preferred videos a bit more updated.
Everyone liked their food although it was more comparable to CS items (Burgers, sandwiches, onion rings). Only thing I didn't like was the Berry milkshake. Should have gotten chocolate.

We decided to try lunch here as we had a very late dining reservation for dinner. We were a part of 2 seated in the last row of a car which already had a family of 4 seated. Our server greeted us as "hitch hikers" which was a nice touch. We decided to order a Caesar salad (to share) and sandwiches. My husband had the pastrami and I ordered the salmon BLT. Food was very good and the serving sizes were enormous. We love that it is actually quiet in this restaurant. The theming is nicely done.

My party of 4 picked this restaurant solely for the atmosphere which is fun and different than what you typically experience so the food was ok, it did the job but was nothing fantastic. The dessert was very good. However due to the horrific wait time with a reservation we will not return. When you are traveling with a diabetic who does their insulin based on the time of the reservation, a 45 minute wait with a reservation is ridiculous. We understand that waits happen but our wait was caused because of the hostesses seating walk ins and guests that were an hour early for their reservation BEFORE the reservations at that time because of the scene they were causing in the lobby. The atmosphere was good and very fun but it was not worth the 45 minute wait.
