You Won’t BELIEVE What Disney World’s Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Looks Like Now

Have you visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios recently? If so, you might have noticed that there is a LOT of construction going on in the park right now. Animation Courtyard is closed and being reimagined into The Walt Disney Studios. An entirely new Monsters, Inc. land is replacing Muppets Courtyard.

Meanwhile, The Muppets are moving over to Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets, and construction work is well on the way to making that happen. We recently visited Disney’s Hollywood Studios to check up on progress with the new Muppets ride, so let’s see what’s changed.

When you pass underneath the G-Force Records arch that leads to the entrance of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, you’ll notice that the car has been completely re-painted with a funky Muppets-themed design. This car is now giving Electric Mayhem energy with its new colors, swirls, and music notes in vibrant colors.

It looks great!

Of course, you can’t go through the actual entrance and into the courtyard that is home to the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster queue. Hedges now block off that section of the park. But if you’re looking to do some pin trading, we spotted a Cast Member with a pin trading board in front of the queue’s entrance.

Most of the giant guitar in front has been covered in tarps while it gets its new paint job. It will have similar vibrant Electric Mayhem-inspired colors as the limo at the G-Force Records arch.

However, we did see a bit of the top of the guitar, which seems to be getting some new primer or paint along its edges.

Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will have a similar storyline to the previous Aerosmith version of the ride. Basically, G-Force Records has been taken over by Scooter’s uncle, and the Electric Mayhem are currently rocking out in the studio. But they have a gig they need to get to, so Scooter is trying to convince them to stop their jam session and get going.

We expect the basic bones of the roller coaster to remain the same, but the new theme will be all about getting Electric Mayhem to their big concert on time. Disney has also promised some new tunes for the ride, and, hopefully, we’ll get a sneak listen to some of those soon.

In the meantime, we’ll continue to keep an eye on construction progress of the new ride, so check back with AllEars again soon for more.
