You Have Exactly ONE WEEK To Say Goodbye To This Disney World Ride Before It’s Gone Forever

Disney’s Hollywood Studios has been a virtual hub of activity over the past year. First, we said goodbye to Muppets Courtyard forever, and now that area is being converted into a new Monsters, Inc. land. Then, Animation Courtyard closed and is now being converted into The Walt Disney Studios.

Aerosmith!

Well, another conversion begins in exactly one week: Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring Aerosmith will close on March 2nd to be converted into Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets. So you’ve got exactly one week to enjoy the original version of the ride.

That’s right, there’s only a week left before Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closes, so you only have that long to take one last cruise on the limo with Aerosmith. After that, the ride will remain closed through the summer, when it will reopen with a new Muppets theme.

The new Muppets coaster will have a similar storyline, though. You’ll be taking a VIP tour of G-Force Records, which is now under the management of Scooter’s uncle, J.P. Grosse. When you visit the studio, you’ll see Electric Mayhem deep in a jam session with penguins at the boards. Scooter is trying to convince the band to stop because they have to make it to a really big show. So you’ll hop on a limo and cruise through Hollywood to get the band to the venue on time.

The new ride will feature all-new music with the Electric Mayhem, playing iconic hits. However, Disney has also said the ride would be teaming up with some big music stars for “a rockin’ music festival.” We don’t have a setlist yet, but we certainly can’t wait to see it.

We’ll keep an eye out for updates after Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster closes, so please keep checking back with AllEars for more.
