We Bet You Didn’t Know About This SECRET Popcorn Experience at Disney World

One of our favorite places to grab a snack in Magic Kingdom is at Main Street Confectionery. We really enjoy visiting the Kernel Kitchen there, which is where you can grab a fun popcorn snack with a variety of mix-ins like candy, sauces, and more.

However, did you know there’s a secret honor at Kernel Kitchen that’s bestowed upon a Disney World visitor every day? Believe it or not, you could become Chef of the Day at Kernel Kitchen and create a new popcorn snack mix that other visitors can enjoy!

Every day, at least one visitor to Main Street Confectionery is picked at random to be the Chef of the Day. They get to put on a Mickey chef’s hat, and then they get to create a special popcorn snack of their own, picking their mix-ins on a rolling counter set up in front of the main popcorn display.

The sky is the limit as they choose what goes into their special popcorn snack. You want sprinkles? Throw them in there? You want M&Ms? Throw them in there. You can choose as many flavors of popcorn and as many mix-ins and drizzles as you want.

Once you’re finished making y our special creation, you get a special certificate signed by a Cast Member.

So not only do you get bragging rights about getting to be a Disney Chef for a Day, but you also get a tasty snack that you can enjoy.
