We Spotted a MAJOR EPCOT Festival CLUE at CommuniCore Hall

We spotted some new signage in EPCOT that has us even more excited about the upcoming opening of CommuniCore Hall and Plaza!

EPCOT’s massive, multi-year transformation project is finally nearing an end, and the last piece of the puzzle we’re still waiting on is the opening of CommuniCore Hall and Plaza. The opening date is currently set for June 10th, and we just spotted a new detail that has us daydreaming about what we might be able to look forward to!

When it opens, CommuniCore Hall will be the “hub” for EPCOT’s festivals. The indoor space will include a demonstration kitchen, mixology bar, gallery space, new Mickey meet-and-greet, and more. Even though it will be a central part of future EPCOT festivals, Disney also confirmed that it will be open year-round, even outside of festival dates. Disney has called it an “indoor space for you and your family to recharge.”

CommuniCore Plaza is an outdoor space that’ll have the ability to host a giant concert on a stage, as well as more intimate performances.

We’ve been keeping a close eye on the updates Disney has provided about CommuniCore Hall and Plaza as the opening date gets closer. But today, we spotted a new detail that has us even more excited about the new spaces!

On our latest trip to EPCOT, we spotted permanent signage at CommuniCore Hall for “Festival Favorites.” The sign is next door to the Mickey & Friends meet and greet, and around the corner from the stage area. It’s also located right across from a new large seating area, which might indicate that it is just a booth, rather than its own indoor space with dedicated seating.

Festival Favorites is the name of a food booth that has appeared at several previous festivals, including the 2021 Flower and Garden Festival, the 2021 Festival of the Arts, and the 2020 Festival of the Holidays.

When “Festival Favorites” has appeared as a food booth at previous EPCOT festivals, it has served up popular dishes from the festival in years past, so that might be what we can expect to appear at this spot in CommuniCore Hall.

Disney hasn’t released any official information about this location in CommuniCore Hall yet, so we’re not sure whether it will only be open during festivals, or if it will serve food and drinks year-round.
