Don't Forget! 4 Long-Term CLOSURES Will Continue in Disney World This Week.

Sometimes Disney World rides and attractions have to close down temporarily due to technical difficulties or bad weather in the area. But other times, those closures last much LONGER than just a few hours.

To help you prepare for your upcoming trip and avoid the disappointing surprises that come with unexpected ride closures, check out this list of all the pre-scheduled closures that will affect the Disney World parks and hotels from August 6th through the 12th.

Tiana’s Bayou Adventure

Splash Mountain closed on January 23rd, and it’ll remain closed until late 2024.

Disney is re-theming the ride to give it a Princess and the Frog theme. When it reopens, it’ll be called Tiana’s Bayou Adventure.

Barrel Bridge at Tom Sawyer Island

Over on Tom Sawyer Island, the barrel bridge is currently closed. In fact, it’s missing completely!

A Cast Member told us that the bridge had been removed for refurbishments, and they’re not sure when it might be back.

Tokyo Dining

Tokyo Dining is currently closed in the Japan pavilion.

Mitsukoshi

The restaurant is being refurbished to become Shiki-Sai: Sushi Izakaya, which will serve sushi and teppan items.

Disney World Hotel Refurbishments

There’s a big construction project happening at Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort, as a new DVC tower is being built. You might see or hear construction if you’re staying at that hotel.

Over at Disney’s BoardWalk Inn, some of the guest rooms are being updated, and the lobby is also getting a refresh.
