Even with all of the immense planning done before your trip to Disney World, you could still get thrown a curveball!

That’s why it’s important to stay flexible and be willing to change plans at a moment’s notice. You may come across unexpected closures, surprise events, or even last-minute time changes like this!
We spotted some new signs in Magic Kingdom alerting guests to the fact that this area of the park would close at 5PM this evening.

The sign states that select rides, including Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor, Tomorrowland Speedway, and Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin, will remain open until 6PM. We also received an alert on our My Disney Experience App with the same information.
Normally, this area would stay open until the rest of the park closes, and while some attractions will still be available for a short while after they are still closing earlier than the rest of the park.

If you’re in Magic Kingdom today you may want to prioritize visiting your must-dos in Tomorrowland first, especially any attractions not included in the list above. However, this may mean Tomorrowland will be more crowded than usual, so it could also be a good time to check out other areas that might end up with shorter lines and fewer crowds while everyone is trying to hit their favorites in Tomorrowland!

With the opening date for TRON Lightcycle / Run fast approaching and more and more news coming in every day, this closure could have something to do with the new attraction (or the new merch we just heard about today!).
Don’t forget you can always check wait times on the My Disney Experience App, which can be especially useful once Tomorrowland closes and more guests will be confined to a smaller area with fewer rides between them.
