The holiday season is just around the corner, which means it’s time to start making your plans at Disney World!
This year, Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party will not be taking place, but instead, it will be replaced with a brand new event — Disney Very Merriest After Hours! The event is set to occur on 24 select nights from 9PM to 1AM between November and December and some guests can already secure their tickets beginning today!
Guests staying at select Disney Resort hotels, Walt Disney World Swan and Dolphin Hotels, and Shades of Green at Walt Disney World Resort can NOW purchase their Very Merriest After Hours tickets online or by calling 407-939-7947.
As of this morning, the website had not yet populated with the tickets for the holiday event, so guests needed to call and wait for an available Cast Member to purchase tickets (which can take a LONG time).
UPDATE: Tickets for Very Merriest After Hours can now be purchased online as well by those guests who are eligible.
Guests will want to log into their My Disney Experience account and ensure that their hotel stay is linked to the account. Then, they should be able to access a screen allowing them to purchase tickets online.
The event kicks off on November 8th and runs all the way through December 21st with pricing varying based on which date you choose to attend. And, keep in mind that Annual Passholders and DVC members can score a $10 discount on or before November 19th.
During the four-hour event, guests will be able to experience all of the holiday festivities in Magic Kingdom including a Christmas fireworks show, FULL holiday parade, special holiday treats, complimentary ice cream novelties, popcorn, and select bottled beverages, and more!
If you’re not staying at any of the resorts that qualify for the early ticket window, all guests will be able to buy their tickets in just a few days on August 20th. And, if the event is anything like Disney After Hours BOO Bash, then tickets will go FAST so you’ll want to be sure you know which date you’re interested in early!

Got ours around 7:30 this morning. Only waited a couple of minutes. Got tickets for 11/9, so excited!
Went on the site at 7 this morning and waited an hour until I had to hang up. Tried again at noon, waited maybe 5 minutes and was all set in less than 15 minutes total. Moral: Never give up!
I was able to get mine online at 7:20 AM this morning.
