The 2021 winter season will be extra merry at Walt Disney World — thanks to the advent of the Disney Very Merriest After Hours at Magic Kingdom celebration!

This hard-ticketed event will take place on 24 select nights in November and December and feature holiday entertainment, decor, and more!

The Very Merriest After Hours event will take place from 9PM to 1AM.

Note: Guests of After Hours events can enter Magic Kingdom at 7PM with their After Hours ticket. No Disney Park Pass reservation is required.

Wristband Pick-Up

Disney World will likely offer wristband pick-up at the front entrance (for those arriving 7PM or later) and inside the Park (for those who are inside the Park before 7PM).

Complimentary Treats and Drinks

Disney says complimentary items will include bottled soft drinks and water, seasonal treats, popcorn, and ice cream novelties.

Character Sightings

Characters are waving to guests throughout the Park — all in their seasonal finest!

Captain Cook and Smee in Adventureland

Character Sightings are noted on the After Hours map with a Mickey head. We spotted Mickey in his EARidescent suit in Town Square Theater, Captain Cook and Smee in Adventureland, Tigger at Crystal Palace, and more!

Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories

Guests can able to spot several of their favorite characters in Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories, a brand new stage show on the Cinderella Castle Forecourt Stage.

Santa Goofy and more in Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories stage show!

Very Merry Memories will incorporate nods to previous holiday stage shows (Mickey’s ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas, Mickey’s Most Merriest Celebration, and Celebrate the Season) as Mickey, Minnie, and their pals enjoy music, dancing and “yuletide fun”.

Mickey & Minnie’s Very Merry Memories showtimes are 9:25PM, 10:35PM, 11:45PM, and 12:50AM.

Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade

The Disney Very Merriest After Hours even marks the return of a parade to Magic Kingdom! Mickey, Minnie, and all their friends (including Frozen favorites and the iconic Toy Soldiers!) return to the Park to celebrate the season!

Parade times are 9:45PM and 12:05AM.

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks

Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks show returns as well! Prepare yourself for a spectacle of pyrotechnics, projections, and festive music.

Fireworks showtime is 11:15PM.

Note: Guests of the After Hours event who choose to enter the Park before 7PM will also be able to watch the Park’s brand new Disney Enchantment fireworks show and the transformation of Cinderella Castle into a Beacon of Light — all for the World’s Most Magical Celebration!

Rides and Attractions

The Disney Very Merriest After Hours event also marks the return of attraction overlays! Board your vessel for the Jingle Cruise, and get some belly laughs with seasonal jokes at the Monsters Inc. Laugh Floor.
