There's a NEW Message From a Disney Parks Executive About a CLOSED Attraction

It can be hard to plan for the unexpected at Walt Disney World.

While you can plan ahead for select rides to be down or stores to be closed for refurbishment thanks to Disney’s refurbishment calendar, every once in a while a Disney ride will be closed unexpectedly. And, that’s where the My Disney Experience app can be helpful!

Today, we were headed into Disney’s Animal Kingdom and opened up the app to check out the wait times for the rides at the park and noticed that Expedition Everest was listed as temporarily closed.

And, normally that’s all the information we get when a ride is down — but, today we got a pop-up notification with a message from the Vice President of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. The “Pardon The Inconvenience” message said:

“On behalf of the entire team at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, I’d like to apologize that Expedition Everest — Legend of the Forbidden Mountain is currently unavailable. Our Cast Members have been working diligently to get the attraction up and running again, and we are sorry you are not able to experience this attraction at this time. I hope you will enjoy some of our other attractions during your experience in the park today.”
