Here at AllEars, we keep you posted on all those closures! So today, we’re bringing you a refurbishment update on all the attractions that will be unavailable from May 3rd to 9th, 2021.
EPCOT Refurbishments
Pin Traders — Camera Center
Pin Traders — Camera Center in EPCOT has closed for some quick construction! After a brief delay, it shut its doors on April 20th.

Magic Kingdom Refurbishments
Walt Disney World RailroadÂ
The Walt Disney World Railroad is blocked by construction on TRON: Lightcycle Run, which means it’s been unable to run for over 2 years.

So what’ll it take for the train to reopen? Well, TRON construction will have to make some major progress — and since that work reportedly delayed, it could be a while. We’ll keep you posted if we hear anything!

The Hall of PresidentsÂ
The Hall of Presidents closed in January, after the election, to install an audio-animatronic for President Joe Biden. This closure is typical for the show — it happens every time a new president is elected!

As for a reopening date — Disney hasn’t announced that yet. But we’ll let you know when they do!

Main Street Confectionery
We’re seeing some construction on Main Street, U.S.A., too! Main Street Confectionery closed in April for a long refurbishment — but there’s no shortage of treats in the meantime! Main Street Cinema is currently serving all the Confectionery’s wares.

While Disney hasn’t officially announced a reopening date, we have seen the Confectionery removed from Disney’s refurbishment calendar starting July 4th. Could that be when it’s due to reopen? We’ll have to wait and see!

Disney World Resort Refurbishments
We’ve got big changes going on at Disney’s resorts, too! Disney’s Polynesian Resort is undergoing a huge transformation that involves changes to the entryway, lobby, and monorail station. The guest rooms are also getting a Moana-inspired makeover! Reservations for those rooms are available starting this July, and the rest of the construction will finish up this summer, too.

At Disney’s Contemporary Resort, a noisy refurbishment is taking place! The Main Tower Guest Rooms are getting some work, which means you’ll see plenty of scrim covering areas of the hotel.

Lastly, over at Disney’s Fort Wilderness Resort, Meadow Swimmin’ Pool’s waterslide and splash pad are getting a little TLC!
