The wait is finally over. The new version of Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin, featuring new blasters, targets, ride vehicles, and a brand-new character, officially opens TOMORROW, April 8th!

Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin finally opens tomorrow, on April 8th, after a lengthy closure as Disney Imagineers completely reimagined the popular attraction.

We’ve actually already gotten the chance to check out the brand-new version of the attraction due to a soft opening that took place. However, there’s something a little more special about that OFFICIAL opening date. Plus, all of you get to try it now, and as many times as you want!

The newly reimagined version of the ride features some really cool new elements, like the brand-new ride vehicles. With a completely new look, paint job, and digital monitors, the adventure is going to have a whole different style. The digital monitors are the coolest addition, as they provide real-time scoring updates, as well as your rank!

Your mission will also feel smoother with the new handheld blasters! The blasters have new lasers, new lighting, new sound effects, and a whole vibration effect. Oh, and you can now remove them completely, helping you aim better.

The all-new interactive targets react and light up, actually showing you if you’re hitting them by flashing green, making scoring that much easier. Everything that the ride has added has seriously just upgraded the experience.

You’ve probably heard us rave about our favorite new addition, Buddy! Buddy is a brand-new character that you’ll meet at the beginning of your mission. He’s a robot who will train you on how to take down Zurg.
