Jump Scare Alert! Muppet*Vision 3D Is Unrecognizable in Disney’s Hollywood Studios

When we were at Hollywood Studios recently, we noticed a new change to Muppets Courtyard!

Muppets Courtyard has been closed since last June to construct a new Monsters, Inc. land, so it’s construction wall central. But from certain areas of Grand Avenue, you can see the progress as clear as day! Here are all the new updates we saw.

The most notable change we saw was the theater building. This used to house Muppet*Vision 3D, and the last notable change we saw was back in October when they took down the Muppets signage and decor.

Today, the building looks very different. The brick exterior has been removed in some parts and swapped for a gray concrete. It looks like they’ll re-theme both the theater entrance and the clock tower in the next few weeks.

Based on concept art, the theater building will stay standing in the new Monsters, Inc. land, but will have a completely different exterior. The theater will have a new green marquee that extends to the roof. The clock tower will also have a new green clock frame and signage that matches the marquee.

If Disney is sticking to its concept art, then the new forms along the building are for the green marquee and signage. If we get a closer look, it matches up pretty well! The concept marquee matches the concrete form almost exactly. The rectangle on the clock tower is for the poster signage from the concept, but we’re not sure what the corner form is going to be yet.

We’re so excited for this new show coming to Monsters, Inc. land. Disney hasn’t confirmed what this show will be, so we’re patiently waiting for an official announcement!
