Character Shakeup Alert! Your Next Trip to Disney’s Animal Kingdom Will Look DIFFERENT

If you’re also mourning the DinoLand character meet-and-greets, you’re not alone! DinoLand was the only part of Animal Kingdom where you could regularly meet Donald, Daisy, Goofy, and Chip and Dale. Plus, there were some surprise characters like Scrooge McDuck and Launchpad McQuack we were missing!

Now that DinoLand, USA is closed, Animal Kingdom’s meet-and-greet scene has changed dramatically. You’ll still see familiar faces, but all characters other than Mickey and Minnie have been moved throughout the park. Here’s our guide to Animal Kingdom’s new character locations!

Goofy is hidden in the back of the park. To meet him, head to Rafiki’s Planet Watch in Africa and walk down the path.

At the end of the path, you can meet Goofy inside the Wildlife Express Train station!

If you’re feeling adventurous, hop on the train and meet Rafiki and Timon from The Lion King at Rafiki’s Planet Watch! You can also pet goats and learn to draw with animators, that is, until those experiences close on February 23rd.

Donald and Daisy have moved to the Oasis. They’re at the front of the park beside the stroller and wheelchair rentals. If they’re not out, you can usually find DiVine here as well!

Pluto has also found a new home at the Oasis. He’s up north on the west side of the island, next to the waterfall bridge. You can now permanently find Pocahontas where Pluto used to meet on the east side of the Oasis.

Chip and Dale are also at the front of the park, but before you scan in. You can find them past security between the Joffrey’s stand and the ticket counter. You don’t even need a park ticket to meet them!

This is always subject to change, so we recommend checking the My Disney Experience app for the most up-to-date information. The app also lists meet and greet times so you can plan out your day!
