Animal Kingdom is the talk of the town these days! The greenest Disney theme park has just said goodbye to DinoLand, U.S.A., and we’re still in mourning.

It feels like an asteroid has left a dinosaur-shaped hole in our hearts, but we will admit the upcoming Tropical-America land is pretty exciting. Several changes are coming to the park in preparation for the new land, and one subtle change even has Mickey and Minnie smiling!
When we talk about Animal Kingdom changes, we would be your mind goes straight to DinoLand, but today’s change takes us to the Adventurers Outpost on Discovery Island. This spot is where you can meet Mickey and Minnie and see all of the travel photos along the way.

To keep up with the changes around the park, Mick and Min have updated their meet and greet as well. They’ve said goodbye to DinoLand and hello to Pueblo Esperanza in one very subtle way.

The mural behind Mickey and Minnie has received an upgrade that now includes the Casita from Encanto, which will be one of the biggest attractions in the upcoming land! You can see a picture of what the mural used to look like here!

The new mural also has the phrase “Tropical Americas” written on it, in place of DinoLand U.S.A. It seems like only that corner has changed!

The park also has a new map that has removed the land, which, frankly, has us pretty sad. While we are genuinely very excited about the new land, we’re struggling to say goodbye to Dr. Seeker.

To help ease our pain, we like to remind ourselves what’s on the horizon. The new land will take you inside the worlds of Encanto and Indiana Jones with two new major attractions and a family-friendly carousel attraction.

We will get to go inside the Casita on the day Antonio receives his magical gift, which is the ability to talk to animals. Disney has also confirmed a new Indiana Jones attraction is coming to the park, but it will have its own original storyline and be different from Disneyland’s attraction. It will (most likely) be taking over DINOSAUR’s attraction building.

We will never forget Dr. Seeker, but just like Mickey and Minnie at the Adventureres Outpost, we will have to move on eventually. We can’t wait to continue tracking the changes and news all throughout Animal Kingdom, so be sure to keep following AllEars for more. We’re serious about fun!
