When you got Disney World as often as I do, you tend to build up your own arsenal of tips and tricks that help you soar through your day as seamlessly as possible. However, as someone who goes to Disney World everyday I’m living proof there’s still time to teach an old dog new tricks.

We’re constantly spilling our best secrets and strategies to help you out on your next Disney World vacation and if there’s one pivotal piece of advice I could give you about EPCOT, it’s this HACK!
EPCOT holds a special place in my heart and that might be why I’m so attached to it. It’s got a rich history of seeing Disney World since it was newly formed and has been adapted over the years to change with the times and demands of technology. So when you ask me to spend a day at EPCOT, I’m probably going to assume we’re in for a day at the park from open to close. However, I’ve recently been offered an EPCOT hack that has changed my life when it comes to visiting the park.

EPCOT’s got a lot to offer its visitors and only so many hours to do it all in one day. So if you’re anything like me and waiting right at the entrance before the park opens to get a jump start to your day, I was recently challenged to expand my thinking on this strategy.

This EPCOT hack involves arriving to the park to start your day MUCH later than park’s open, and actually we’re going to call it arriving in the evening. Yep, I know what you’re thinking because I did too, “how are we going to do it all?” The quick answer here is with purpose.

By arriving late in the afternoon to start your day, you’re coming in at a time where those who began their day at EPCOT in the wee hours of the morning are at a point where they’re likely leaving to go back for a bit to their hotel rooms or go sit and eat somewhere. This means they’ve also had a chance to move up through the park and disperse the crowds more giving you a chance to ride everything closer to the park’s entrance with shorter wait times typically.

As you continue to make your way around the park, you might find that you feel like like a ping pong ball in a championship tournament, and spend less time hopping from ride to attraction and so on.

Now that I’m willing to compromise my original strategy, I’m able to get through the majority of EPCOT’s offerings with ease and fairly quickly without wearing my feet out or stopping because of the heat beating down on me in the middle of the day. So take it from this old Disney pro — you can always learn new ways to experience Disney World even after visiting for years!
