Big news coming in hot! Disney just gave us some major updates on upcoming projects, and Hollywood Studios is finally getting the love it deserves!
Beyond new updates with the Muppets retheme of Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, we also got an insight into a few other projects happening around the park.
In case you missed it, Animation Courtyard is going away and being turned into The Magic of Disney Animation, a new space for character meet and greets, drawing classes, and so much more.
The area is supposed to resemble the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California, and Disney has said they are trying to replicate it as closely as possible. We’re looking forward to the indoor playground and animation drawings! This is set to open sometime in 2026.
Over in Galaxy’s Edge, Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run is getting brand new destinations, and for the first time ever, the engineer will be the one to actually pick where you want to go.
You’ll be able to team up with the Mandalorian, Grogu, and Hondo to track down and explore new adventures. This will start May 22nd, 2026, and we’re already looking forward to fighting for the engineer spot (and who thought we would ever say that?).
