August 3rd was the final day of operation (for many months, that is) for a popular Magic Kingdom attraction, and now, its doors are officially shut.

There’s tons of construction going on in the parks right now — so much so that I personally don’t remember a time in my three years of writing about everything Disney that there was HALF of what’s happening now — and this new closure just adds more construction walls to that list. But what exactly does that look like in Tomorrowland? Let’s take a look!
When we headed into Magic Kingdom this morning, we headed straight for Tomorrowland to check out what Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin looks like now that its doors are officially closed.

There aren’t any walls in front of the attraction just yet, but there are signs on the closed doors that detail the refurbishment. The signs read that operations are suspended and to “please proceed to adjacent mission zones.”

It’s also possible that walls will go up at a later time, as we’re wondering if the outside of the attraction will change. We know the new ride vehicles coming in are getting new colors themed more to Star Command, and although the exterior is themed well for that, it may receive a refresh.

We also hopped on the PeopleMover to see what that section of the ride looked like, but the windows were dark. The voiceover about the ride was also removed for the time being.
